Harry Tanschek
He comes from Graz, Austria, where as a student he started playing classical guitar and bass guitar. He took up percussion studies at the Jazz Department of the University of Graz. This period resulted in cooperation with Austrian bands and performances at festivals in Europe with artists such as: Mark Murphy, Sheila Jordan, Jay Clayton, Clark Terry, Benny Bailey. In 1997, he won the prestigious Berklee College of Music scholarship, and in 1999 he graduated from this university. Until 2002, he stayed in Boston, collaborating with musicians and bands such as Hal Crook, Chico Freeman, Doug Johnson, Josh Davis, Alon Yavnai, Rick Beckham, John Damian, Bob Brockmayer, Ayn Inserto Jazzorchestra, Jerry DeMarco, Shake Senora, Soul City etc. .. Currently lives in Vienna.
